    My personal favorite bass drum head!I may be the one of the few drummers using these on bass drum. I play classic rock and I've used these for many years. To me they sound great! It's like a Pinstripe but more open sounding. I also use the Dave Weckl muffling system with this head. I spread out 4 cotton balls and threw them in there. Too dead then. Took out 2 and it was just right. So I put 2 in all my remaining toms.. 10-12-14-16. I thought I would need more the bigger the toms got but no. Perfect amount fullness for my ears5while being thin enough to resonate to a nice full, warm soundClear Emperors have been my go-to batter heads for years. It is thick enough to take a beating, while being thin enough to resonate to a nice full, warm sound. I like to pair these with Clear Diplomats for extra resonance. I've been using Remo since 1979. I should warn.. I use emperors on both top and bottom. I've chose to use smooth white emp's on top and clear emps on the bottom.
