Customer Reviews
Decent hardware but total fail on the softwareThe lack of effective and detailed software to control this device is the main drawback. Specifically I can't find a way to turn off automatic gain. Just attempted my first webinar with this mic but the erratic gain levels made it impossible to use. Turned it off after five painful minutes and had to use my webcam stereo mic.3Great mic for live streaming.Picked this up for myself as a Christmas gift to help boost my Livestream channel on Youtube, and I'm loving it so far. It picks me up clearly without having to be an inch from my mouth, and doesn't pick up any audio at all coming out from my speakers, which means I can go entirely without headphones. Going from a terrible headphone boom mic to this and my viewers said I suddenly sound like a radio announcer. It's nice and heavy and the audio quality is excellent. My only real complaint is the lack of an on/off button on the mic itself. This is a minor quibble. Strongly recommended.5Inexpensive but excellent!I really like this mic. I bought it to replace a Samson C03 because this one allows no-latency earphone monitoring while I record narration. Works great. But most important is the quality of sound. I'm a former radio professional, an award winning public radio journalist and documentary producer and I've worked with a lot of high quality microphones, many of my old associates from back in "the day" swap stories about their favorite mics, mics that they feel made them sound great, mics that today are very expensive. This dang mic may be cheap as dirt but it is very good! If you do voice narration/voice work like I do and like to work a mic close (say, about 3 inches), this mic is Amazing---you simply do not need to spend more. I really think microphone comparisons are mostly subjective (so much depends on the voice or instrument, how the mic is placed, the room, etc.) that it's quite like the audiophile world where endless reviews compare "subtle" differences. Some mics are horrid of course but this is not among them. I demand high quality sound and this is quite satisfactory.5Great quality, live playback features zero lagProduct:All together I recieved a mic, the usb cable, the stand, some sort of screw. The mic seems to be very good quality. I had a lot of fun setting it up and testing it out.My favorite thing about this is not only is the sound quality great, but the live playback feature has zero latency. It helps me improve my singing on the spot. I would definitely recommend this product to those on the fence.Packaging: Came in a very nice box, neatly packed into a black styrofoam material separated by parts. The manual lay over the top the parts.5So far, amazing mic.I am new to these higher end recording devices, PC parts, etc. But from my little bit of knowledge and experience, this mic is legit. I payed $80 for it. Seems like a lot, but upgrading from a corsair HS50 headset mic to this is like night and day. High and low frquency pickup has been widened by a large margin. After talking with friends in discord, they informed me my voice is completely different. But it's my TRUE voice. When recording my uke songs, the clarity is remarkable compared to the headset mic. This is my FIRST upgrade for a mic so any knowledge oast this point of comparison would be speculation.5Goodie goodieI was a bit worried when a youtube review said these produce a warmer sound because I already have a warm voice and sometimes gets muddy depending on the set up, and also because this is an USB condenser mic. When I tested on 3-4 songs, these came clean. Not really warmer, but I did notice a very slight warmth <1k Hz. But then again, my set up is laptop on laps & mic 6 inches away, in a car. I sometimes have intermittent buzzing noises while recording (and high latency) but it might just be from the cable getting caught on something. This set up only works because this mic doesn't catch much noise from the back or sides so I don't hear any room (car) noise and outside noise until I push the gains. If you don't have a decent studio set up, this may be the one for you.5Great quality but terrible auto adjustingI bought this for recording audio for videos and to also record my guitars from my amps. Turns out the microphone has a feature that automatically adjusts the audio which I havent been able to disable so half way through recording any sounds that are somewhat loud are automatically dampened and muffled. I recommend this microphone for talking on skype or discord but for recording music id recommend a different microphone. Dont get me wrong the quality is phenomenal when not auto adjusting then volume that it picks up.4Easily the best sub-$100 mic I've ever used.I purchased this lovely microphone as per the recommendation of podcast Dan Benjamin (http://podcastmethod.co), and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at how *excellent* the sound is coming off of this mic. Sounds better than my friend's AT-2020, which is significantly more expensive, and the zero-latency headphone jack is a must, and I'll be using it exclusively for my new podcast over at http://myth.liEasily the best sub-$100 mic I've ever used. Sounds like it costs more than twice that.5Surprisingly GreatAs a professional recorder and producer, I was skeptical about getting a USB mic. I had a very expensive professional setup with an audio interface and a Shure SM7B, what they use on most radio programs. This mic is surprisingly great. It's got a clean and warm sound, and I actually use it for voiceover work and on video essays. Definitely worth the money, and something I'd recommend if you're not ready to jump into expensive studio equipment just yet.5Glorious crystal clear audio! Great microphone for what I use it for! Everything you need to know is in the video review of this microphone. Please watch!5
