Customer Reviews

Do yourself a favor, and don't buy this, it's pretty terrible.I like it because it's small and pretty loud for the size, I dislike it because the sound quality and tone are pretty bad, but bearable if you use enough pedals to modify the tone. The other thing I really don't like about it, is that when it's plugged in and turned on, it has a weird background static, that actually receives a mystery radio signal that makes it play whatever that signal ended up being in the background, I can't be sure, because nobody in my house or yard was listening to any radio or had one available to run through all the bandwidth. It's pretty distracting if you just want to play some quiet guitar in your room. Cannot figure out what the signal is from, it's pretty distorted and weak, but it exists to drive me crazy, and I absolutely hate it. I would return this piece of garbage if It wasn't so far past the return date I purchased it on.- Included cable is acceptable and "ok" with slight buzzing from poorly soldered connections.- Included pack of picks is good for backup picks if you need them.2warranty conditionsno issues with the amp, works just fine, I want to inform customers of the warranty restrictions: "The one year warranty begins on the date of purchase. To be eligible for and to validate warranty, the purchaser must register the product online using the Sawtooth Instrument Warranty Registration."just a heads up3The sound quality is excellent & it is way louder than i expected for ...I have been playing guitar for about 20 years & have had many amps of different brand name & size. I wanted a small & affordable little amp to mess around with. This little amp really surprised me. The sound quality is excellent & it is way louder than i expected for it's size! It's a little bigger than an old metal lunchbox. The speaker is 6.5" Very good clean tone & the gain isn't bad. Also the build quality of the amp is excellent. I think it looks very vintage & cool. I really love this little amp! You will NOT find a better size & quality at this price. Also, shipped very fast.5Not a good productThe video posted for this product is deceiving. The speaker crackles whenever you turn the volume past 2, and the overdrive sounds far cheaper that advertised. Advice, spend the extra 50 dollars on a fender.1defective out of the boxThis amp was easy to set up, but it only works for about 30 seconds before a little static, and then it stops working. We turned off and on multiple times, and the same thing happened every time - a few seconds working, then dead. We also tried on multiple instruments - same thing every time. Sending it back and buying a different brand.1A good value. but not without it's issues.Relative to the price, you get a lot for what you pay. A decent sounding amp, a cable, and even a few picks. My biggest complain with this amp is that about 90% of the volume adjustment is between 1 and 2, and it can be a bit of a hassle finding the a medium volume suitable for just practicing, as the tiniest turn one way or the other goes from quieter than you want to louder than you want. Still, for the money, it works well and I can live with an extra 5 seconds of fiddling with the volume knob.4For beginner worked greatI bought my first electric guitar after being an acoustic player for years. Not wanting to invest a lot I got this little guy who works great. Light and portable, it was fine for someone who wasn't intially committed. Since I've enjoyed playing so much I recently upgraded to a Fender 20W that comes with all the affects and fun add-ons this one doesn't. If you're for sure committed you may want to skip right to a bigger amp, but for someone who wants basic and you don't want to invest a lot the product is great. Had it a year now with no issues.4Very good amp for the priceVery good amp for the price. There are of course much better amps out there, and I definitely wouldn't use this on a stage, but for practice purposes in my apartment, it works fantastic. It is very portable and great for storage. It has good tone. I personally use my bass with it and it handles it just fine. Only complaint is that the volume seems to make a very big jump from 1 - 2, I usually have to adjust the volume on my bass itself to find the sweet spot for practicing.4Pro musician recommends this small amp for convenience & qualityI've been a music pro since 1986. I use a larger rig for live shows, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well this small & light amp sounds and how efficient it is at throwing sound across a room. Great bass res for the size. I was skeptical when I saw the price versus other options for a small amp solution but I'm happy I went with this. For you public trans. musicians - It actually fits comfortably in my backpack with my other cords and foot stool.5Blown away, really. Great value. For the price, this amp is honestly incredible. Unless you play black metal, it's probably not a good studio tool, and is definitely not loud enough to be heard over a drummer playing at typical volumes, but as a practice tool, the size and price can't be beaten. The EQ works fine, it'll get pretty distorted, and it'll get clean, though active pickups can cause some overdrive on the clean channel. Yes, the sound is on the thin side, but I'm reviewing the product for what it is - a cheap practice amp. It almost makes me regret buying my Orange practice amp, since I got this one as a gift for someone just starting. I may buy a few more of these just to keep all the places I might want to play guitar, though they're so small and portable one should do fine for all practice and jam sessions (without a loud drummer) just fine.5
