    Every Traveler Needs One I'm giving this to my grandson for his mission. Even if he never uses it, he'll have the assurance of 'just in case'! 5Just OKI needed a small sewing kit to fix buttons on shirts or general small problems. This seems like it might work. Everything in this kit is of cheap quality, but you get what you pay for. When the package came in, the plastic container was broken and everything was rolling around the box. I put it back together and stuck it in a drawer where it will lay until I break any buttons.Pros:Will be enough to fix buttons or any small problem. I am a dude and don't plan on sewing any more than I have to!Cons:Cheap quality. Not made for any heavy use.2Couldn't find this anywhere else The lid on my sewing kit, which was exactly like this one, cracked and I wanted to find a replacement. I went everywhere, to no avail, and then thought to look on Amazon.It is great that they have it because I love it!!!The people complaining about the scissors. Get real. These little things won't cut air but who cares. It's the handy colored thread and needles that make this sewing kit amazing. 5Classic KitIt was the exact kit I was looking for as I had one previously (the threads got kitten attacked years ago, not its fault I parted ways with the previous kit). I considered smaller kits, more like travel kits which I've even got out of coin machines at Hotels, but this one has a little more bang, more threads whereas travel kits give you very limited thread lengths, I never used up any of the thread color. I used to sew and had a sewing machine and a lot more sewing stuff -- I still loved this little kit and even my husband would use it as a go to for fixing a button etc. It's OK for travel, but I had a really minimal one and I travel really light so, no, I'd hope I'd find another hotel vending machine with a tiny kit.5I recommend buying a better quality kit that actually works.The needle broke in my first pass through the stuffed animal I was trying to repair. Also the scissors are so cheaply made they wouldn t cut the thread. You get what you pay for. Wish there was a darker gray but can't win 'em all. 5It's okay in a pinch, but you definitely need bigger needles.Singer Sewing Kit in Storage BoxThis is an okay sewing kit, but not nearly what I had hoped for. The main problem with this kit is the needles are way too small! It took me forever to get them threaded, and a repaired a couple of things but didn't want to fool with threading another needle when the thread ran out. The scissors, are not useful, they are dull and don't cut well, but other than the microscopic needles and the dull scissors, it's okay. I definitely will spend the money for a little bit better sewing kit, and especially some new needles. The only good thing I can really say is there is a lot of thread, and it was delivered for free.3Wasted money by trying to save money Ok, so maybe the needle head being too small is just that I'm getting older and can't see it -- but my mother couldn't either and she sews all the time. So I think the heads are a bit small.Also, the scissors are utterly terrible. I paid almost $5, so I could have bought 4 kits, and paid it forward toward my fellow man here. Plus,I as a man that sews pretty good. Not on a machine though. Just by hand. I pick up another one @ Walmart (singer 12) for $1.77+tax. So, it just looks like I need to be a smarter shopper.5Basic Sewing Needs in a Well-Organized PackageI'm not a sewer at all, but there are times when I have to be a jack-of-all trades when it comes to making small repairs of items rather than tossing and buying new. For clothes, this falls into that category. This kit comes with different colored spools of thread, three needles, a thimble, the tiniest of rulers, and other items necessary to make small repairs for your sewing needs.The package is very well organized and small enough to fit in any drawer or cabinet, but not small enough to be easily lost in that one drawer that seems to lead to Narnia. We all have one of those. This package is also small enough to take it with you on your travels, though I would reinforce it with a rubber band, or something, to ensure it stays closed.So far this kit has been pretty good to serve my super basic sewing needs. The only downside is that the small scissors in the kit are very cheap and flimsy, but every person should have a good pair of scissors in their household, so this weakness of the kit is easily remedied. I would buy this again, if need be.4Terrible quality The needles are cheap, one already broke. The tape measure is paper and it s just poor quality. I tried to return, but its ineligle for return unfortunately 1
