    THESE DON'T FIT THE SINGER LEGACY C440 SEWING MACHINE THEY ARE ADVERTISED WITH!!These bobbins were advertised as a complementary item with the Singer Legacy C440 sewing machine I ordered from Amazon, so naturally I assumed they fit that machine. They do NOT fit the Singer machines. After receiving my machine, I discovered I needed the Class 15 bobbins and these are a Class 15J bobbin that does not fit my new machine. Amazon will not let me return them for some reason, so I am stuck with bobbins that are useless to me. Note to self, never order bobbins from Amazon until you know exactly what bobbin type your machine takes. I will happily just buy them at Joann Fabrics from now on. Thanks for Nothing, Amazon! 1UnderwhelmedLooking at different options, I went with this one because I thought it would be nice to have a small storage container to contain the bobbins. That thing broke almost instantly. It was a shame because it was a perfect size. The bobbins are standard. Hoped for a bit more with that container. 3Not true 15J bobbins.These are not true 15J bobbins. They are slightly different from the original and do not work properly. I started having issues with my embroidery machine once I started using these. Upon closer inspection, they are not the same as the ones that came with my machine. The shape is a little bit different. The true Singer bobbins have a blue tint to them and these are clear. They are not the same! The case that I received also doesn't close properly.I ordered these The end of March after I bought a Singer Futura and just now started using these. What a waste of money! Now it's too late to return. 1Perfect for my needsI couldn't find the size bobbin I needed near me so ordering on Amazon was awesome. Now I have plenty of bobbins for my sewing needs. Super happy with this purchase. 5These bobbins fixed my sewing machine,!Even after service my Singer 9960 continued to experience issues. Was about to toss it to the curb when I found out it uses only Class 15J bobbins. Although similar, Type A or regular Class 15 bobbins will cause it to hang. Not even the repair tech at the sew and vac knew this. Ordered these bobbins, and viola...my Singer Quantum 9960 works perfectly. So glad you had them available. Highly recommend for anyone using this type of sewing machine. 5Great productI purchased my Singer sewing machine in Dec. 2012. It shipped with a few spare bobbins, but those I quick filled with various thread colors. Shortly afterwards, I picked up a generic 'sewing kit' that included a half dozen bobbins. Those things were a pain! They were hard to thread due to the holes only being partially complete and if you did manage to get them threaded, they would become warped when you attempted to wind the string onto it. In a mad fit, I threw all of those bobbins away and ordered the Singer 15-J Bobbins Transparent, 3-Pack. Well, I actually ordered 5 of them.These bobbins are a much harder plastic. The holes are a good size so that they are easily threaded and they are well balanced so they wind beautifully. As I said earlier, I ordered 5 packs of these, so hopefully 15 bobbins will last me a while. If I do need more in the future, I will not be wasting my time or money on any other brand. Singer Bobbins are the way to go. 5NOT SINGER NOT SAFE!I don't have any complaints for the seller BUT I am not happy with the bobbins. I have had a lot of problems with the bobbins breaking while being filled.I have had pieces breaking off flying up and hitting me in the face . I have spoken to Singer and was advised that on the back you see they are from DYMO or DYNO. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME AS SINGER 15J BOBBINS. Who knew? 1Top of bobbin cracked right off with first try!The first bobbin i tried to wind on a brand new sewing machine cracked! The entire top of the bobbin popped off. Wasting an awful lot of thread. Are they all going to do this? I went with Singer products because of the new machine. Very disappointing Singer!UPDATE. 9/26/18I contacted Singer and these bobbins ARE NOT a singer product. They are made by Dyno products but have a license to use the Singer brand name. I got this information directly from Singer. 1some bobbins brokenneed more quality control, some bobbin are broken 4They split when wound full, ruining all the threadEdit: I added a new photo. The top one is a different brand. The bottom is the Singer bobbins. You can see the top one spindle is thicker (and so is also wider.) Plus, the shoulder connection to top and bottom is curved and stronger. The Singer bobbins explode. The new ones I got are clearly better and stronger. (7/19/2018)These suck. They break easily when filled. I'm using embroidery bobbin thread, 60wt. I wound them on two different Singer sewing machines - one old one my mom got when married, and a brand new Futura 580. Both have fixed tension, made for bobbins.Already 5 have split like this - on the *first* winding! I'm so scared to wind them more than half way.If the bobin splits, the thread cannot be wound onto a new bobbin - it instantly becomes a tangled mess.I wish there were metal bobbins in this size so I didn't have to worry.I'll be looking for a new brand. 1
