I already have black thread at home but it's old and breaks. This new thread also breaks and gathers little balls in the thread and gets really thin then breaks. It is so bad. I only used it for hand sewing. I made my own pattern of a pair of pants. It took me 2 days to hand sew them. Actual thread is a light brown color with a reddish tint, more of a "light rust" color.
