Great for Colored PencilsI was watching a video about paper by an artist that I follow and she recommended this for printing downloaded coloring pages. Especially if you use color pencils for your coloring medium. It's about the same thickness as card stock and has a really great texture for layering color,. I pulled out a sheet and it was really sturdy. It really picked up the color and I added at least three layers of pencil to the sheet. For those familiar with using colored pencils, you can smooth out your pigment using odorless mineral spirits, baby oil, or paint thinner. This paper is thick enough to allow the use of those mediums. I did not use them during my testing of the paper so I can't tell you what it will do to the paper. I think that you could probably get sale worthy artwork on this paper but it is probably best for practicing. Overall, I give it a big thumbs up.

I had a pack of 110lb index that was perfect. Couldn't get that this time so I tried the 80lb cover stock which I thought would at least be comparable in thickness. Not even close. I'll use it for something but not for printing invitations as I had planned. Seems a bit to flimsy and cheap for that purpose. Nice tooth and bright white color. Just too thin.
3Perfect for Card MakingWonderful for card making. Heavy stock with bright white color. Wonderful value and hard to find this quality at local craft stores. Works for die cutting and can be painted or colored for additional uses.
5EXCELLENT paper for printing artwork to color with colored pencils!I've been trying to find good paper for printing out artwork for the purposes of coloring (primarily with colored pencils). This has been challenging because a lot of heavier, cardstock papers don't have the correct texture (and tooth) to handle significant layering of colors very well (after layering a few colors, the colored pencil pigment and wax would just start to ball up and glob together, which looks really bad). With the Digital Vellum, though, I think I've found a winner! The texture and tooth of the paper is really nice but with a much better weight. I think the tooth of the Vellum is actually better, though, as it seems to handle layering of several colors much better. The only real downside that I can come up with is that, at 80#, it's not quite as stiff as the cardstock I originally tried... but it's still certainly strong enough to stand up to coloring on.I reprinted a bunch of pictures onto the Digital Vellum and my printer (HP OfficeJet 8710) handled it pretty well. There were a few times where it had trouble feeding the paper but I just had to flip the top sheet in the tray over and then it worked. (It might have fed better if I chose the "Plain, Thick Paper" type, instead.)I tried to attach a picture that I printed onto the Digital Vellum with my InkJet printer and have started coloring but I don't think they liked that... so you'll just have to take my word for it that I've been able to get the best looking skin tone on this paper than I have with any others. With other papers, skin tones were particularly difficult because you need to layer several different colors in order to achieve a nice, rich color (and then layer in even more for shadowing and accenting)... and most of the other papers I tried started to show the globbing and balling of the colored pencil wax after three or so layers. This effect is especially noticeable with lighter colors (like the peaches, beiges, and pinks that go into skin tones). If I had tried the same combination of colors for the skin tones on the other papers I've tried, you would see globbing and nonuniformity of the colored pencils especially in the darker, shaded areas of the skin tones but that didn't occur with the Digital Vellum! Even after a half-dozen layers of colors, there was still enough tooth in the paper left that it didn't just smear or glob when I went over with the colorless blending pencil. So, all in all, I'd call the Digital Vellum a win!
5I really wanted to love this paper as it was recommended by one of ...I really wanted to love this paper as it was recommended by one of my favorite youtubers but I just can t love it! The paper isn t sized accurately and is smaller than another brand I had used previous. It also makes everything print slanted no matter what I do! I ve done everything I can and it just won t print straight but I have the exact same weight and gsm its just cream instead of white from another manufacturer and it prints perfect as do my regular letter papers!! I m disappointed and will be purchasing white paper from the manufacturer I first bought from
3Sturdy PaperI was looking for thicker paper to use to cut out earring cards and decided to try this paper. It worked great! The paper is sturdy enough to hold earring sets. Other than the fact the paper ream came with both ends open the paper was not dirty or damaged. I d give this less stars because of that, but I don t know whether it opened before it was shipped or during shipping. I gave it 5 stars because the quality and thickness was exactly what I was looking for.
5Works for BrochuresThis paper works well for brochures I needed to print. The requirements were legal size card stock on which I could print copy and photos with an ink jet printer. The pictures are not as bright as they would be on coated paper but they're not bad. The images and copy are passably sharp. I folded the brochures into four panels by initially making a crease for each fold and then folding. The result is pretty good. All of the folds are clean with no tears.
5not 110lbThis feels almost certainly like 65lb cardstock. It's rather floppy and is visibly about half as thick as the 110lb cardstock I have from a different manufacturer. This ream is labelled as 110lb -- maybe it's mislabelled?Paper weights are confusing and mean different things based on whether it's "card", "cover" or "offset" stock. However, the seller answered a question above saying that it's 199GSM. From what I can tell in the confusing world of paper weights, the only paper that is both 199GSM and 110LB is index stock, which this appears not to be.
1Pleasantly SurprisedThis isn't the paper that I normally buy. The paper I wanted was unavailable and this was suggested as a similar product. I now have a new favorite paper! The Springhill is slightly thicker and toothier than the brand I normally buy. Price wise they are very similar but the quality of this paper is far superior. It runs through my printer easily. I will continue to purchase this paper.
5A staple in my homeThis paper is perfect for my whole families needs. I use it for mixed media art (even wet media), my son uses it to print his papers and reports and his teachers really enjoy it. It is also stiff enough for my husband to print business cards, flyers, etc for his business. We just have a stander copy, scan, printer and it goes through every time without jamming.
