You Could Take Out An Eye With That ThingSo be careful. That said, this brand is the gold standard for bamboo DPNs. They are accurately sized and the bamboo has a little big of a grip to them that prevents accidental knitting slideoffs, which is a real problem when using a bunch of DPNs in the round.5Sturdy needles - delightful to useI enjoy these bamboo knitting needles so much. They feel warm and smooth, not cold and hard. I have several sets of these in different sizes and lengths and have never had a problem with breakage - they are good and sturdy. I am using these for socks and did not need seven inches, but after struggling to keep the stitches on the shorter ones I decided to try the longer needles in hopes of spending less time replacing stitches. While the extra length is a little cumbersome, it is offset by how much better the stitches stay on the needles. These needles definitely earn all five stars.5Great Needles, but the Older Version is BetterClover double point bamboo needles are good; you get good quality at a good price. The 7-inch option is excellent. I like the feel of the bamboo, and I have several sets of these. My one complaint is that the newer needles have sharper points. Clover needles used to have points that were a bit more blunt, and the finishing on the tips was better. I greatly prefer the older ones, even for socks and lace knitting.4Durable and very easy to useThis is my go-to brand of double pointed needles. The bamboo is so durable and allows the stitches to slide off the needle. But they are not as slippery as the steel ones. I gave up using the steel ones when I continually was dropping a lot of stitches-it s like someone greases the steel needles! So I switched to the Takumi brand and have never been disappointed!5A dream to work with!I am new to knitting on double pointed needles and I had just about given up trying because my stitches would slide off the metal needles I had been using. Then I tried these and they are WONDERFUL! They hold my stitches without causing dragging and now I feel very comfortable with knitting on DPNs.5Bamboo DPNsBamboo and wood are great to use with knitting or crochet because it reduces hand strain. Many of the plastics are, as well. The main thing is if it flexes, hand strain will be less. It's completely worth thinking about if you're going to knit or crochet. These are for knitting but I'm sure this brand also sells crochet needles.5Smooth woodI love the Clover wood double points! They are smooth so the yarn moves effortlessly although wood is much less slippery than metal needles so the yarn does not slip off easily, which is extremely helpful for me. Plus wood is warmer in my hands than metal. Really like these!5Great DPN's!I chose these Takumi double point needles because I like the feel of the wood and the way it holds on to the stitches. I needed them to knit some very tiny newborn socks, and the metal needles have a way of sliding off the stitches. I was very pleased with how quickly my order was delivered. I have ordered other Takumi needles with the same happy experience. The physical stores or craft shops very often don't always carry all the sizes and by the time you spend the time and gas money to get there and then have to wait in line to check out, it is a whole lot easier to just order these online. It is an excellent product.5No more hand fatigue...love these DPNs!I bought the Clover size 13 bamboo DPNs over a year ago with the intent of one day learning how to use these traditional tools to make hats. In the interim, I purchased a set of circular needles with short tips and used those for a while to make other things. When the day arrived to make a pair of leg warmers, I struggled miserably with those shorty needles -- the cord was an inch too long for the project and the stitches would get stuck every time they would be worked, resulting in uneven stretched stitches and cramped hands. I nearly gave up on the leg warmers until I realized that today was the day I was going to teach myself how to use those DPNs buried in my crafts box. I now have half of a pair of leg warmers finished, thanks to these lovely Clover bamboo DPNS, and no more hand cramps! I had so much fun using these Clover bamboo DPNs that I'll never use short circular needles again for projects that can be finished using DPNs. These Clover bamboo DPNS are smooth, well finished, warm to the touch, have just enough friction to prevent your stitches from falling off, and have a very pleasant percussive sound to them as you work -- sort of like wooden wind chimes. I can't recommend these DPNs enough. Happy knitting.5Better over timeI didn't see the benefit of bamboo over traditional metal or plastic needles. They seemed a bit tight on my stitches. Couldn't push them on so easily. Didn't slide like metal. Over time they seemed to work out. I wouldn't say better than others. I'd like it if there was a cap for the ends.4
