Customer Reviews

Not bad, just skip the anchorsThe hangers work just fine. There's really not too much to say about them. The extra grommets on the arms can be obtrusive, but they will help your instrument from being accidentally bumped off the wall, which is a good thing. The drywall anchors, on the other hand... just skip them and get some longer screws to mount in a stud. I have one hanger mounted in drywall with the included anchors just to test it out, and while it has done a fine job at holding my relatively heavy electric guitar, it does give a fair amount of wiggle that makes me uneasy about hanging anything expensive like my $2000 acoustic. I would say these are worth the low price, though -- no regrets here.4Bought first pair and was completely happy. Since then I have added two more pairBought first pair and was completely happy. Since then I have added two more pair. They look great and are constructed stoutly to insure secure display as desired. I'm not done yet have another half dozen guitars to make more readily available to play and these hangers perform that function perfectly. Recommend5Completely worth the money! These mounts look higher quality where they need to, and blend to display the guitar where they need to. The brown tongs was an excellent idea because it makes it less noticeable, but the wood looks higher quality. Most importantly, they're holding thousand dollar guitars, and I trust their sturdiness completely. I did use my own drywall anchors that drill in without a pilot hole. That's the only thing I would upgrade for this purchase to make the install even faster, but for the price you really can't beat it!5PerfectLook great, even smaller and less obtrusive than we thought they would be.In the photos, we thought the rubber disc things were super ugly, and planned to remove them. After we received them and put them up sans rubber discs, however, we tried the rubber discs out 'just because' and we both thought they were utterly inoffensive. Then, thinking they would be a pain in the NECK (ha ha, get it?), we tried them out and actually preferred the feeling of security of having the disks on. We pushed the disks out from the wall (closer to the ends of the holder forks) when they initially seemed to skew the guitars away from the wall and the guitars hung freely. Now a lift and a slight turn gets the guitars free, but no accident will remove them from their perches.Electrics and acoustics, but classicals will not fit.5Just OK, but wood looks niceMeh. They do what they're supposed to, I guess. And the wood does look nice. But they're kinda smelly out of the box from that rubber layer. And the rods are fixed - no adjustment possible. Not good for my classical guitar, though it fit my acoustic steel string and electrical OK. I'm not sold on those rubber stops toward the end of the rods - I guess that's since the rods are fixed and can't be adjusted to the proper width.Better option is the plastic KuYou Keep Hook Holders, which were cheaper by several bucks when I bought them. One more note: Both these and the KuYou hangars came with drywall anchors. For heaven's sake, don't mount your hangars into drywall - find a stud! A guitar is relatively heavy for what a drywall anchor is supposed to do, and the fact that it's going to be suspended a couple inches away from the wall (the neck mount) means you're going to have a moment (a.k.a. a bending force) at the mount, which is not what drywall is intended to handle. If you like your guitar - find a stud. If you hate your guitar, drywall it is.3Simple and SturdyI have purchased 4 of these over the last few months and love them. I had originally purchased them to hold two smaller instruments (mandolin and ukulele) but they seemed sturdy enough that I ended up getting a couple more to hold guitars. On top of it, they're not bad looking themselves and with the instruments on the wall I feel like it really adds a flare to the room. You won't be disappointed in these!5Not quite what I'd hopedReally don't like these. For one, the "self drilling" anchors provided don't actually self drill. Once you do get them in, you'll notice that the anchors aren't flush with the wall, which pushes the hanger away from the wall, making the anchors bear all of the weight of the guitar, and they aren't all that secure so that hanger moves around when any weight it placed on it. Wouldn't trust those with a $50 guitar. And to top it off, the little rings on the arms would come off nearly every time I pulled off a guitar, so those were worthless as well.I tried to hack these to work for me, but ultimately just tossed in the trash. I'd made too many attempts to modify them to work so I knew I wouldn't get a refund, so I didn't even bother trying.1good quality, great price :)the guitar hooks in this two-pack are pretty solid. the units are made out of real wood (i have no idea what kind) and the hooks themselves are a hefty metal with a rubbery sleeves - it's got a good grip to it.they're very easy to install. just screw them in the stud(s) in your wall and you're set.the box includes 4 screws as well as 4 wall anchors in case your wall doesnt have studs in the locations you wanna install them.i have two very minor criticisms: the bottom edge of one of the units was not exactly square so that edge made it a little hard to eyeball how level it was as i was putting it up. i had to resort to using a laser level (but i guess i would have needed it anyways since i was installing both of them). the rubber "disks" are a hair big, causing the space where you slip the guitar onto the hook to be narrower than i would like, but the upside to that is that i really dont have any worries about the guitar slipping off. i highly doubt a classical guitar will fit on these hooks.overall, great solid product, especially for the price :)4Second time buying these. Still as good as I remember.I bought 2 packs of these years ago, but I moved recently and knew I had to get more of them. Whether the room is large or small these are great for getting rid of those annoying guitar stands that cause you to trip. These are cheap, but sturdy. The wood looks great and they're super easy to install. Took 30 minutes to install the 3 packs I bought(6 total). You just need a drill/screw gun, tape measure, a stud finder, and a pen to mark the stud. The install was easy. I just put the wooden part where I want it (height wise). Then measure from the top of it to the top of your ceiling(18" in my case). This way, each one will be equal height going across. I used the studs so they are 16" spaced(on center).5Excellent product, fraction of the cost.Excellent product. Arrived lightning fast. These are as good as any other guitar hanger. They installed easily, look good, and are nice and durable, and the quality is great. My basses are hanging from the wall, firm and secure. These hangers come with a drywall anchor kit, but I opted to use longer screws and attach them to the studs in my wall just to be on the safe side as my basses are pretty heavy, (Warwick 5 string) but for an acoustic or lighter bass the included anchors will be sufficient. When I was shopping for hangers I looked at the ones the big retailers were selling, and to my dissapointment the big retailers wanted upwards of 20 dollars for a set of two. Quickly I turned to Amazon and found these ones. I was so satisfied with the price that I ordered two sets. The fit and finish is on par with the big retailers' product, and these look fantastic. They are well built, packaged nicely, and they get the job done. A+5
