    Don't trust the cloudBought the song and the album and Amazon pretends like I didn't and wont let me play the song. Download or you don't own anything and on desktop too. App downloads are drm locked1A Masterpiece Of Pure TalentI'm a big fan of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal and Thousand Foot Krutch does a great job of taking the genre to the next level with this album. There is such a great variety in this album, every song sounds fresh and unique. One moment you'll get a really heavy track with a little bit of screaming or maybe some rap, then soon after you'll hit a slower more relaxed song. Its incredible who much TFK can mix it up and still have that recognizable sound that many of us fell in love with when we first discovered the band. I think we can all expect a lot of great things from TFK and that this is just a first step into a bright future for this talented group.5If you like melodic hard rock try KrutchI'm probably older than the typical fan of this genre; grew up loving Def Leppard, Dokken, and Ratt to give you some perspective. Now that I have kids in the house it's nice to find music up my alley that isn't about sex or drugs and has no cussing. Don't get me wrong, Five Finger Death Punch are good too, but I just can't play most of that stuff in front of the kids. Favorites on this disc are the title track, Courtesy Call, and Fly On the Wall (but I seldom don't just queue up the whole album strait through). A couple songs do have a kind of POD metal rap in them so if that turns you off you've been warned. Welcome to the Masquerade is just as good if not better (maybe a little softer as a whole and no metal rap to my recollection).5One of their better albums, but not perfectThis cd can be split pretty much 50/50, with half of the songs being heavier music, while the other half is a more lyric driven. While the heavier songs are good, on par with (very similar to) mosh pit/concert songs from previous cd's, I much prefer the the second half. Some of the heavier songs have a good chorus paired with strange verses. I would divide them like this (rating w/ 10 being best):Heavier: (6/10)-We Are-Light Up the Sky-Let the Sparks Fly-I Get Wicked-Courtesy Call-DownStuff I like better: (9/10)-The End is Where We Begin-Be Somebody (3rd Favorite)-All I need to Know (2nd Favorite)-Fly on the Wall-So Far Gone (1st Favorite)Weird transitional stuff:-Introduction-This is a Warning-Outroduction4Very Good!A solid and pure album. There are many beautiful messages about God's unstoppable love, with phenomenal guitar beats. The thing I love so much about the Christian genre is that it sounds like any other genre, and applies all genres, but without anything to worry about. "I Get Wicked" is a confusing song though, I don't quite understand the message in that, but "Be Somebody" has a clear and perfectly christian message, and a favorite of mine on the album. I personally think that this if TFK's best album, with "Exhale" the runner up. I must admit that these guys aren't the most original sounding, and sound similar to the secular Linkin Park or a metal version of the christian Manic Drive. I highly recommend this fabulous album.5EnjoyedI ended up enjoying this album very much. I am still playing it while walking to work.4Well, I am still listening...I have listened to this album a lot since it's release. I would not consider writing a review of an album I only had a few spins with.Now, TFK have released a lot of good (dare I say great) music. They rock hard, their music is so catchy it's insane, and it's always a positive message. Musically tops. Lyrically, well, like I said, It's a positive message.After "Welcome to the Masquerade," I thought I had had enough of their music. That album was also so good, but I think I was getting burned out on them, for no other reason than I played them constantly, and the music kind of all sounds the same after a while. I passed this album off... and then I caved in even after listening to the song clips here and thinking it was the most generic garbage they ever released. Well, I am so happy I bought this album. I listened to this as I was going through the most incredibly difficult time in my life... and a lot of these songs spoke to me.Here are the albums highlights:It's cohesiveness - musically and lyricallyThe way "This is a Warning" sets up the amazing "Courtesy Call"The scream-along-ability of the chorus of "Fly On the Wall"(not part of the actual album, but...) The video for "War of Change." Damn, it's their best vid yetThe fact that there is surprisingly little of what I would consider filler, even on a 15 track albumHow this album can make you feel. Like you can make a change, and that you matterIt will definitely have you throwing up your Rawk Fist quite a bitIt sounds so polished and cleanIt's a must buy for mainstream rock fans, Christian music fans, nu-metal fans... anyone that loves themselves a catchy chorus. This is a great effort, and one that I go back to often. That's really the sign of a great album in the end, right?5Can't stop listening to itI have been a TFK fan for some years now, almost since the beginning when they started with Set It Off in 2004 so I could not wait until their latest CD (which is now an independent work and no longer under the Tooth and Nail label) came out in April 2012. I pre-purchased it on Amazon and waited impatiently for it to arrive (it has been much too long since their previous release in 2009). I was not disappointed one bit! I have never listened to a new CD from them, or anyone for that matter, as much as I have listened to this one in such a short time (I have jokingly said that I am going to wear this CD out soon). Talk about "blow me away". I really like the hard rock sound (mixed with some rap) prevalent on the first half of the CD. My ten year old daughter is also a fan so we enjoy cranking it up in the truck when it is just the two of us. We Are,Light Up the Sky,Let the Sparks Fly are some of our favorites, but that is not an inclusive list. The entire CD is really great.As with any hard rock CD, there are some slower songs (2 acoustical) for some balance and these can really speak to you. In addition to the sound, the lyrics are great too - grounded in faith and encouraging to you in your daily walk. All I Need to Know in particular was an encouragement to a friend of mine struggling with terminal cancer. Listening back to their previous work, Welcome To The Masquerade you will find a familiar sound but their newest just takes it up a notch. If you are a fan of hard rock mixed with some rap (this is not "screamo" for the most part) then I am sure you will enjoy this CD. It has a hard sound and delivers a positive message. Get it and then, Let the Sparks Fly.5Hard to say 3 or 4 starsI've seen TFK mulitiple times here in Florida. Always a pleasure. Great shows! Some of these songs were made to play live. But i still can't get over how great Phenomenon was and how every cd after doesn't have that umph!Its got some great songs, but sometimes feels like too many fillers, but they all have parts that seem like they could've been so much better. Maybe they just needed another producer. Trevors voice is still awesome, and seems like he's learning how to control his range even more, always a good thing to hear a vocalist expand their range instead of staying comfortable.4Great first CD if you don't know this band very well. Lot of great songs.I love this CD and it has most all of my favorite songs by this band. It's the only one I do have, but after listening to them on the radio I wanted to get one and this one is the best!!!5
