this has seriously been one of my favorite CD's everthis has seriously been one of my favorite CD's ever. the music is so good. i wouldn't have otherwise listened to these artists but now am SO glad they were featured in the movie so I could be exposed to them. The songs also perfectly fit the movie and i can play the movie out in my head as a listen. A++++++! buy it!5A Must SeeI cried in the theatre & get teary-eyed no matter how many times I watch it.Beautiful story of love, loss, sickness. It is sad content, but watching it will put a lot into perspective for one, time is very fleeting, catch your happiness when & where you can. Recommend it.5When One Defines A Title..."Never judge a book (DVD) by it's cover."This film: 'The Fault In Our Stars' is, indeed, a world of tremendous passions, intimacy & soon ...a love greater for another than u felt u wanted or thought u had. But during loves discovery, two individuals loose the greatest of their pride & respect for one of their most wonderful creative writers; to them, by one of his well adored novels, he's a star. Yet, soon comes a day when they tragically face "the fault in their star", but also learn never to be so sure one's own life in worse than everyone else's. Ok? (Cry)5Starry Visions!Great Soundtrack! Has an eclectic mix of music from Birdy to Ray LaMontagne to Lykke Li. It even has the Swedish Hip-Hoptrack BOMFALLERALLA that Van Houten liked in the John Green novel. I just love all the music--replay it all the time. Alsorecommended--the Score. If you can get only one, buy the music album--you won't be disappointed!5I loved this movie from the first time I saw it ...I loved this movie from the first time I saw it but the extended version is that much better. More than a couple deleted scenes included as well as special features. Love it!5A Nerd fighter recommended it! Totally awesome music.....and if you Enjoy Swedish rap then you will be happy!I like to say I am pretty much interested in most types music and nome I can add Swedish rap to the list! :). I have not seen the movie. I am waiting to be able to buy my own copy. I have several disabilities which make getting around difficult. I LOVED the book. I have read it at least eight times as I can relate to a lot of it as a young person with chronic illness. I m hopeful this movie and book and music will raise awareness about cancer and chronic illness. The book changed my life so I am expecting the movie too as wellAnd if this soundtrack is any indication I am going to be watching the movie over and over! The soundtrack has a lot of different songs. Some slow some fast and all with meaning in their words. Part of the reason I bought the soundtrack is it is tech mended by at least one nerd fighter! Awesome! :).Read "this Star Won't Go Out words from Esther Earl (who John Greene dedicated the book too). Esther and Hazel shared diagnoses but dealt with things differently. Although I could see some of ester in HazelSorry for the long review. I just love anything connected with TFIOS!DFTBAKerri ^_^5I can't stop listening to thisI can't stop listening to this. It's my favorite album of the year. Luckily my coworkers like it too -- otherwise we'd have some issues, since I'm not going to stop playing it any time soon. I probably wouldn't have bought it at all if I hadn't watched the online concert stream thing they did a couple of weeks ago, with a bunch of the artists and John Green and the main actors from the movie. I'm not a huge fan of Ed Sheeran, for a start, but wow, "All The Stars" is easily the best song I've heard in ages. All the songs evoke different moments from the book for me and since I haven't seen the movie yet, it's kinda fun right now to try and figure out where they were worked into the movie. The Lykke Li song KILLS ME. In a good way. In sum? I love it. I love the whole thing.5Music With HeartThis collection of songs reminds me of the collection from Juno, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but is a far better collection because there's not a single song in here that I want to skip when it's turn arrives to be played. This is good music to drive to, read to, romance to, and remember to. While not a party album, it's an album you can play when the party is for a group of friends that enjoys each other's company and doesn't need to get bombed to enjoy.5Deep & GreyI thought the soundtrack would be strong when I saw the movie. I already enjoy Ed Sheeran, Jake Bugg & Kodaline; so I was anxious to tune in. Films like "Begin Again" and "Silver Linings Playbook" definitely have it beat for the number of great tracks. That said, "The Fault Is In Our Stars" has its moments. The song "Oblivion" by Indians has a lovely ethereal sound with the glorious harmonies. The closer "Best Shot" is a lovely little pop melody by Birdy & James Young, "When you couldn't find your way & all around was deep and grey, the stars fall from above & you're barely holding on, my love."* Both of these artists were new to me. Discovering artists new to me that I like is one reason I enjoy soundtracks. None of the other tracks are awful; they just haven't totally grabbed me. So this is a decent set. Enjoy!*Note: lyrics according to my ear :)4music is so memorablethe movie and screen play music is so touching. even if it doesn't turn out to a "happy ending" it engages one to believe that a lifetime is not as powerful as a loving, short affair.5
