    Watching was being there.The Passion of the Christ is one of the best, maybe the best movie ever produced. The story is true and the most documented historical fact in classical antiquity. The acting is superb. The spoken languages of Aramaic, Hebrew and Latin put you there, on site, in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. The actress who played the mother of Jesus, Maia Morganstern, is a Jewess, adding immensely to sense of authenticity. Satan and Judas were chillingly believable. Pontius Pilate and his Centurian, Abner, were credible. It seems no detail was overlooked. The actor who played Jesus Christ, Jim Caviezel, was perfectly suited for the part and prepared himself spiritually every day prior to filming. I can't praise this film enough. I watch the film over the years around Passover, Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Some won't watch it stating the suffering of Christ is too violent for them. In actual fact, the sufferings of Christ were far, far worse then depicted in the movie. I just remember that it was for me He suffered and died; He is Love Personified. He reconciled me, a hell bound sinner to Himself and clothed me with His own perfect righteousness and i'm in love with Him. The one glaring weakness of film was the treatment of the Resurrection, almost as an afterthought, But the Resurrection is more important than the Crucifixion for absent the Resurrection all are yet lost in their sins and trespasses.5Contemplating Christ's PassionI had access to this soundtrack prior to viewing the movie. It is moving, riveting, and soulful. I can almost envision the elements that each title represents. My husband has listened to it nonstop while at work for the past 2 days and has come home with a totally different attitude.I highly recommend this especially as background music to listen to while meditating on Sacred Scripture. Beautiful and Reverent.Beautiful soundtrack! John Debney is gifted by God. I saw his interview online over a year ago regarding the making of the soundtrack for the Passion of Christ movie. With this movie, none of his equipment in his studio cooperated with him, and the video equipment used with making the soundtrack music kept getting stuck on the scenes showing Satan. This only happened with THIS particular movie. He knew satan was involved somehow and didn't want the Passion of the Christ movie to get out to the public.5A Passionate SoundtrackExactly what I was hoping for in relation to the theme of this film - a haunting, moving score with scope and drama. Far more satisfing then the "Gospel of John" score which was plesant enough but overall forgetable, this one blends the middle eastern ethnic insturmentation and vocalizations seamlessly with the more western orchestral and choral elements to really grab the listener and transport you to another space and time. Other than a few passages that sounded like James Horners "Glory" for some strange reason, this is possibly one of Debneys best to date.5"Nearer My God To Thee"The music from the movie "The Passion of the Christ" is a unique experience that one will not soon forget. It is so moving that one has not to even view the movie before you listen to the selections. If you have read the sources - Biblical, historical,, theological, or possess a keen imagination, you know what is occuring in Chist's life at all times as the music presents his last twelve hours. It is truly a magnificent "tour de force". By all means listen to it and be moved and changed and become more compassionate in all ways and always.5Moving "new age" soundtrackHad I not seen the film, I'd have listened to this soundtrack as just another "new age" compilation, great for popping into the stereo while relaxing at home. Upon seeing the film, however, the music took on a whole other dimension. Quite moving and surreal, the songs will take you back to the scenes in the film, and on trackS #8 and #13 I found myself weeping. Controversies aside, you can't miss this theatre experience, but if you do, get the soundtrack to at least lose yourself in the intense feelings behind the story.4Followed the film closelyFabulous sound.5
