Customer Reviews

Great set of pedals for upgrading your rig and Sim racingBest investment for my sim racing rig besides buying the wheel way back in 2008. I just recently bought the T3PA-Pro pedals made by thrustmaster. These pills are awesome addition to my racing rig. The pedals Springs are pretty much close to what I run in real life in my real car. Being able to adjust the pedals where they are on the arm of the clutch brake or gas pedal is awesome. I was able to dial it in where my pedals actually sit in my car. Breaking with this new pedal system. I was able to knock off 2 seconds of my fastest time that's a virtual track of spa. I'm quite impressed and glad I bought these pedals. Thanks to thrustmaster for building a great set of pedals that can be hooked up to any rig using their adapter.5What a Great Upgrade!!First let me say I am not an expert on pedals. That said...this is my 2nd set of pedals I've used while playing Forza 6 on Xbox One. My first set of pedals came with the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel (gave to grandson). They were a basic set of pedals but worked well for their intended use. Fast forward to these Thrustmaster VG T3PA-PRO 3-Pedal Add-On Set and you've just entered into a more professional and quality built set of pedals. It's nice to see mostly all metal than plastic used in the construction of these pedals which adds to their hefty weight which helps keep them stable. The instructions are clear and show you step by step how to use the pedals in two different modes/configurations.1. Floor-mounted position (F1-style) which is the default configuration out of the box2. Suspended position (GT/Rally-style) Turning pedal set upside downApparently you'll want to pay attention to the guidelines on how and when you power on the pedals so they work correctly when powered up connected to your wheel base. Here are the instructions for doing that:- Never connect or disconnect the pedal set from the base of the wheel when the wheel isconnected to the console or PC, or during gaming sessions, to avoid calibration problems.= Always connect the pedal set to the wheel before connecting the wheel to the console or PC.- Once the wheel has self-calibrated and the game has started, the pedals automatically calibratethemselves after being pressed a few times.- Never press on the pedals when the wheel is self-calibrating or when your game is starting up, toavoid calibration problems.- If the pedals are not functioning correctly or appear to be improperly calibrated, power off yourconsole, completely disconnect your wheel, then reconnect all of the cables (including the powersupply cable and the pedal set cable), power the console back on and restart your game.I followed the connection instructions above and had no problems having the pedals recognized and they worked flawlessly on the first race I played in Forza 6 for Xbox One. You'll want to check both configurations to see which one you prefer and then place/install them to secure them in place. Currently I'm using mine in the default configuration and actually like that arrangement. That's not to say at some point I won't try using them in the 2nd position - Suspended position (GT/Rally-style) turning pedal set upside down. I am 6' 4" tall and use all of the space inside of my home built Ricmotech Racing Simulator Cockpit and for now I like using the pedals in their default configuration. Can you say "EASY" setup?! Following the instructions for when to plug in the pedal set and then powering on your gaming machine/device they simply worked with no issues while in my first test race using them. They calibrated quickly once I powered on the Xbox One and launched Forza 6 and began my first test race to see how well they worked and how they felt using them. In a word..."AWESOME"!!! They function smoothly and have a positive input recognition with no hesitation at any time (in my experience). I really like the metal construction which gives this pedal set a nice high quality look and feel and they work like a high(er) quality set of pedals should (in my mind). You can remove the pedal face plates and raise them or lower them to suit the feel your looking for and also adjust them side to side if you need more foot room between the gas and brake pedal or the clutch and brake pedal. Thrustmaster includes a set of Allen key's to remove the small face plate screws and instructions are included in the PDF file you'll want to download from the Thrustmaster website. There are no instructions that come with this pedal set so log onto their website and download the instructions from there so you can read up on the different configurations you can choose from. I think moving the pedal face plates around could better fine tune what works best for you individually if needed. For now I'm using mine as they came out of the box and have not had any problems using them as they came from the factory.Hopefully you'll find what help you may be looking for about these pedals and if your still not sure if you should buy them...ask questions pointed at those people who are really well, schooled in pedals and any other kind of information you may be looking for. Seriously I doubt you'd be disappointed if you decide to purchase this pedal set. For me...they were worth the cost!!Thank you Thrustmaster and Amazon for making this another great purchasing experience!!Thrustmaster VG T3PA-PRO 3-Pedal Add-On SetAre they worth the current cost of $149.99 here on Amazon? Yes they are!! I'd highly recommend this pedal set to anyone not sure if they are really worth the cost and if they will last a good time before issues arise. Factoring in different people using them I'd have to believe they will last a good while ( read - long time) before anything wears out on them...unless of course you just love stomping hard on your pedals then perhaps they might begin to show signs of serious wear and possible performance issues. That said...I seriously doubt that will be the case but I've learned not to say never!! Different people use their equipment differently but if you want to feel good about a purchase you likely wont have to worry about anytime soon...then go ahead and pick this pedal set up and enjoy them as you enjoy playing whatever racing games you like to play.5Amazing Pedals with Unmatched QualityAbsolutely amazing upgrade from the logitech G920 pedals. These are very comfortable and extremely customizable. They are nearly 100% metal construction and feel SOLID. You can invert them, lower/raise/shift the pedalheads adjust pedalheads between two angles, create a multitude of different feelings for the break with the two highly adjustable break mods included, and the list goes on and on. For $110 this is an absolutely amazing deal considering MSRP is $150. You won't find the quality of these pedals anywhere else unless you plan on spending $400+. First time pedals? Buy these. Own a pair of cheaper pedals? Buy these. You won't regret it.The only downside I can think of, is that an adapter is needed to convert the pedals to a usb signal and it's sold separately. Aside from that, easy 5 stars from me.5Decent pedals for price. These are pretty decent pedals and a big improvement over the Logitech Momo pedals I was using previously. The pedal pads are adjustable to a degree and you can easily invert the set if GT-style pedals are your thing. Solid, mostly metal construction. The Hall-effect sensors are a big improvement over potentiometers. The main drawback, as with most mainstream sets of controller pedals is that it uses a spring to simulate brake-pedal resistance and translates pedal travel into braking power. This neither feels like, nor operates like a real automobile. It comes with a couple of little doo-dads that you can insert into the brake pedal to arguably make it feel more progressive and realistic.I'd like to try something with a load-cell instead of a spring to see how much of an improvement that would make.4Amazing upgrade, top notch lookWhat I am using:Thrustmaster VG Racing Wheel Servo Base for Xbox Onehttp://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-VG-Leather-Wheel-Add-On-Pc/dp/B00TTQKSUS/ref=pd_bxgy_63_img_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1BHBSX9CFWSHGAJ2KXQPand the pedals being review. When i got this set out of the box I was immediately pleased with them. The looks alone are phenomenal, made me think it was too good for the use I have for it (well the price covers that). If you are considering this set of pedals it may be because you realize how much fun a good racing sim set up can be and these pedals delivers a huge upgrade from the cheap two pedal set included with the TX wheel. In particular the gas pedal provides much better readings between half way and full throttle, something i could never achieve with the factory two pedal set.I am not by any means a profesional sim racer and still having this pedals makes Forza 6 a lot more fun. This is my first set with a clutch and initially I though of not using the clutch because it seemed too complex. Turns out the clutch makes the driving a lot more fun and increases the intensity of the race. I am of the mindset that a good racing sim set up delivers tremendous bang for the buck, and after spending a considerable amount in mine I could not be more pleased. I play everyday after work and it provides a huge stress relief in a short amount of time. Even 30 min a day can serve as a nice hobby.Amazing set, you get what you pay for.5Great UpgradeI have the T150 that I've used on the PS4 (Project Cars) and PC (Assetto Corsa). The brake pedal is far more sensitive and realistic feeling than the stock pedal. Not only did I beat my prior lap time, but it's much easier to repeat those times lap after lap. What I didn't expect is that the gas pedal is also better as it's easier to modulate. The clutch is a whole new dimension to driving! I use one in real life, but was used to just bashing the shifters in racing games. That's still possible on some cars, but in the cars where you really have to shift and heal-toe downshifts, it's a whole new learning curve. I'm back to a beginner in those cars. Lot's of instant spins on the turns. Put in about an hour so far in AC on the GT86 and I'm getting starting to get used to it; far from mastering.5Heavy metal construction. Before these I had only ever used less expensive plastic pedals. This metal construction feels much better under foot than those plastic items. I use these primarily for ETS2. They input from the pedals is smooth and accurate. The ability to set dead spots allows me to tune them to behave like real automotive pedals. I also changed the setup to the hanging pedal rather than the floor pedal setup. While they don t feel like a real truck, and certainly not like a race car, they do feel just like other heavy equipment I have operated. I do not use a thrustmaster wheel so I needed an adapter in order to make them plug into a USB port directly.5The T3PAPro 3 is a very sturdy pedal set to use with my TMX wheel controllerFirst thing I noticed when I pulled the pedal addon from the box is how heavy and sturdy the unit os. I dont even haveto secure the T3PAPro 3 on the floor at at all. The weight of the unit stays right where I place it on the floor. The spacing of each pedal is ideal for me and I have size 14 shoes. Feel of each pedal is great and the cable from the unit plugs right into my Thrusmaster TMX wheel. All the popular racing games I have recognize my wheel and new pedal addon. The T3PAPro 3 does come with an addon to make the brake pedal more realistic feeling. Right now I just use 2 of the 3 pedals on the unit, I dont use the Clutch pedal at this time cause I dont also have a H shifter unit. All in all, If you want a durable 3 pedal unit for sim racing, I would recommend this unit. Did not see if the pedals plug into USB port as a stand alone pedal setup cause of having thrustmaster wheel also, so dont know about that capability.5potentiometers fail rapidlyUPDATE 3rd set has failed pot sensors horrible quality ,,,,,,recently after 8 months the pedals failed causing wheel issues most interpret this as wheel failure, try the original set first seems this expensive pedal set is just as cheaply made as most thrustmaster products now days spend the extra money and get Fanatec, for this kind of money they should use the best potentiometers they can find it's a small cost they make the entire thing out of heavy metal again not the best fit with everything but a potentiometer on a set like this is the last thing that should fail. i have cheap potentiometers that have lasted 40 years my pedals lasted approximately six months before I started having issues with the box going to reset or restarting in the middle of a game all kinds of strange things with the wheel and they were all caused by a bad pot on the excelerator pedal spend the extra money go with fanatec update Famatec no longer ships to the united states because of a security hack,,,releasing all of their customers info1Brake and throttle pot problemsI have found on multiple occasions that I have to take apart the thing to get the pots to keep from rapidly, fluctuating midway thru pedal push. I contacted Thrustmaster and got back a diagram on how to take the pedals apart, NOT what I was expecting. I hope this isn't a common thing as. The fluctuation has happened 3 times on brakes now, and one on throttle pot. I take it apart move stuff around and put it back together and it works fine for 30 hours or so. Then the cycle starts again.3
