Customer Reviews
Quality control and very good soundThe quality of reeds are really random on any reed box. But so far I had better result from Vandoren.Does make warm and classical sound. Def my go to reed.4The bestThese have to be the best reeds I have used. As a college player I have been taking advantage of the ones the school give me. After getting these I am glad to have spent the money. They respond so well and have a great mellow sound that is perfect for concert band and classical soloing.5The only reeds I use.I have been playing Bari Sax for over 11 years now; I have tried many brands and strengths of reeds, but these are by far my favorite. They are reliable and versatile, and everything I look for in a reed. I have used these reeds to play in pep, marching, symphonic, and jazz bands (as well as in other venues), and they have been excellent in all of them. The 5's are especially great because I like to play with a really stiff reed, but Vandoren makes great softer reeds too.I also play on Vandorens with my alto.If you haven't played on Vandoren yet, I highly suggest it.5A+These are the only reeds my daughter uses...she has tried the synthetic reeds but she always returns to her beloved Vandorens!5Not for meThey are a little on the harder side so I should have ordered a strength lower. I play on Rico royals 3 and I ordered a strength 3 vandoren, I should have gotten a 2.5 strength box.4Paying for my raising. These are great. I used these reeds when I was in band and now, I have to listen to my son do the same thing. I know my parents always told me I would pay for my raising and here it is. I now know how the squeaks of a new player always happens when you are trying to hear an answer on jeopardy, but now you missed it. Luckily we can rewind and watch again. My son has been in band for a year and now I'm trying to figure out how much my parents sold their souls for to afford when I was in band. Reeds aren't cheap but at least these last better than most.5These were the perfect reeds (strength - size 2) for me to begin ...These were the perfect reeds (strength - size 2) for me to begin playing Baritone Sax. I am a clarinet player and knew I would need a softer reed to begin with and Vandoren is the brand that I prefer.5very good price for reeds just some in box dont come out wellthe price for this box of reeds is very affordable especially if you go to an actual music store where they charge you $40. But of course you will get at least one bad reed out of every box but that's not the manufacturers fault so in total I would give them an overall rating of 5 stars5Good product. This is on the approved list for my Kids band instructor. They like them and have been happy with them for years. Pricey but good. Much cheaper here than in local stores.5As a semi-professional player, my favorite brandVandoren Traditionals have the best tone of the varieties I have tried. Its dark without sounding too woody or stuffy (although there's almost always one or two duds in the box). They last fairly long and I am able to play a single reed for a few hours at a time without warping or over-softening. They have the greatest quality by far, at least for baritones. My Alto friends testify differently, but the size difference may contribute to the discrepancy.4
