    Misleading productDescription of the product says "''This kit contains color coded canvas". They're absolutely lying. Canvas is blank. They provide an instruction pamphlet which contains the design. The pamphlet is not the same size as the canvas, so the only option is to count the number of squares on the canvas and try to match the pamphlet. Extremely disappointed! I would be forgiving to them if they were not so blatant lying in their product description.1DO NOT BUY!I was completely let down with this product. It does NOT have the pattern stamped on it, for a little girl it is much to difficult to count squares. I am very disappointed in what i received. It would be better to go to a craft store and buy a pre printed canvas! I would say DO NOT BUY THIS!1Be sure to buy a latch hook.This was a birthday present for a 12 year girl who loves tortoises. She loves it. The sad part is it did not come with a latch hook. I felt terrible because her family never had seen this project before and didn t even know what a latch hook was. I had to go out a buy one for her which then made the gift not so reasonable. Definitely include that item with the project. Cute project though.3Not color stamped. No hook.Disappointed. I would not say for beginner.3Not for kidsWhen I made these as a kid, each line on the mat was the color of yarn that needed to be put there. This just had a white mat. So you have to look at a paper with diagram to figure out what color goes on the line. Definitely not for kids1Fun to do but takes a whileUsed by a 12yr, she started it but decided it takes a long time. The hook is not included so you need to buy it separately. Instructions are easy to understand and they are color blind friendly, each color has a shape.Hope you find this review helpful.4Pretty Pattern - Too Difficult for a 6-year-oldWhile the pattern is very pretty and would make a great pillow we have run out of white, pre-cut yarn and I can't find it ANYWHERE...not even on Amazon! I've been to Joann's Fabrics, checked Michael's and have done several online searches to no avail. Also, this was way difficult for a little girl. I ended up using colored highlighters (luckily I have one for each color of this heart) to color in the squares for her so she could just follow the highlighter marks. It also sucks the kit didn't have a latch hook tool. The ends do fray because you're pulling on them constantly when hooking. We taped it out with blue painter's tape and it held up okay. If anyone knows where to get the exact yarn I need (white, 3.75" long) I would greatly appreciate it! I tried Mary Maxims, Annie's Attic and Herrschners. Sigh...3The product description states that the canvas is color-coded. ...The product description states that the canvas is color-coded. Not true. The canvas was completely blank. Instructions were given for 'counting' the squares to hook the pattern. This method is too complicated for a 7 year old. We used the counting instructions and took a lot of time to mark the canvas with colored markers for our granddaughter. My main complaint is the pattern is not printed on the mat. There is a pattern in the package but it s not what I was wanting. I was hoping my 7 year old would pick up a new craft to occupy her hands, but this is a little too hard for her.3
