Customer Reviews
Used for powered monitorsI bought several of these cables to connect a new set of powered monitors. They were intended as semi-permanent cables: I won't be constantly winding and unwinding them, and they're unlikely to even be disconnected more than a handful of times. Strain relief is quite adequate for this particular application, and the basic requirement of passing signal is well-met. For location recording, I suspect I'd be willing to spend more money for hardier cables, but I wouldn't hesitate to keep a couple of these in my kit for the odd spot mic. Good value for the low price.5Lot-O-Noise!As long as the cable is attached and hanging and not touching anything or getting touched by anything, it works as intended. But swipe by it, accidentally touch it or the mic and it reverberates every little sound! Forget handling the mic and going mobile - not gonna work with this cheap cable. Glad it was so cheap so at least so I'm not out too much money! It's getting a piece of red tape and going into the "Use only for Emergency" box.2Good productThis xlr cable works fine. I didn't notice any additional noise with these. It's not the best quality but it's a great starter item4and they are horrible. The problem lies in the female endsI bought a pair of these cables, and they are horrible. The problem lies in the female ends. A- they don't properly "snap" into mixer or EP outputs, whereas every other cable locks in properly. Thus, they can be pulled out. B- the female ends, already not locking in properly, can't really be moved or jarred, as the connection will be affected. I threw them both away.11-2 cables workedOrdered 2 of these for a podcast setup along with a bunch of other equipment, was hooking everything up, flipped the switch to on and all I hear is a loud humming noise, tryed adjusting levels on mix board, turned board off, unplugged cable, re-plugged back in and still the same thing and no voice or sound just the hummm! So I disconnected this cable and opened the second one that came in with the first cable, hooked it up to mic & mix board and then a flick of the switch, and it works perfect. So a bad cord, but I guess you get what you paid for, ordered a better one from a different company, so FYI you might get a bad cable...1Keep away from other electronics, and works amazing! These cables will work VERY well, IF you do not have them near electronics.Have them at least a foot away from any computers or electronics it will pick up some noise in the signal to a preamp. Once I moved it about 1 foot and half away from my 2 monitors, computer, and audio receiver it didn't pick up and transferring that very faint buzzing noise.I use this cable for my AT2020 XLR mic and Ben USB302 mixer amp, and it's been working AMAZING for months so cannot complain. Just try to run the cable in a different route than the other electronics it is near.510 STARS from professional DJ and fashion photographer!!!"As a professional DJ,fashion photographer and videographer I rely on my cables to be of great quality so that I can play/listen to music on my professional DJ speakers when I have an 8 hour long shoot in my studio. These cables are top of the line and the price is triple anywhere else aside from on-line shopping.I actually give this product 10STARS...BRAVO & Thank you for this chance to let everyone know where to shop for great cables!"5I use this to connect a speaker to the soundboard ...I use this to connect a speaker to the soundboard for an outdoor concert series in the summer, where I need the speaker to be quite a distance from everything else. I do get a bit of static from this cable during quieter moments or between songs, but sound does come through and it eases the issue of distance without having to daisy a lot of cables together, which had much much more static.3Good company, good cable!I got this cable from The Cable Store, the primary guys through whom Amazon fulfills these orders. The item arrived 1-day early and the packaging was secure. The cable works! No hissing, no problems. The only reason I did not rate this cable 5-stars is because the cable does not have the rubber O-ring on the female end. The good news is that I have a few other cables so I just took an O-ring off of one of my less important cable and the transplant was successful and this cable shall live a long and healthy life.But... if you do not have the same option, maybe spend a few more bucks on a better cable to ensure you get that rubber O-ring. The seal goes a long way to protecting the integrity of the connection. It's all goooood, though.4feels very cheap, seems to work fineThis cable seemed to pass audio just fine but felt extremely cheap. The cable had kinks where it was folded that wouldn't come out which made the cable not lay in a straight line but instead zig-zag a bit every few inches. The sheathing around the cable was also much bigger than the wire it was protecting, which made the cable feel kind of like a deflated tire. It was just too unattractive a cable to leave in my basement between my preamp and my subwoofer so I replaced it with a monoprice cable - which looked and worked great.2
